Sanitarium approached us with a challenge to create a flavoured oat milk brand which will attract traditional milk drinkers who are curious about exploring alternatives. By tapping into the nostalgia of drinking milk as a child and the care-free “good old days”, we built an approachable brand positioning that conveyed wholesome authenticity.
Drawing on the retro styling attached to our nostalgic positioning, we created a distinct brand mark which captures the creaminess of our product paired with our smiling sun, symbolic of Aussie outdoor living. Applied to packaging, we were able to “stand out, while fitting in” amongst our dairy counterparts. Our bold yet restrained colour palette reflects an authentic image.
